Terms of Service

GOATED lets you build ranked lists of hip-hop artists, albums, and songs, share them as links and images, and vote on head-to-head matchups. Much of it works anonymously, with no account required.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live). If you create an account, you're responsible for activity under it and for keeping your login secure. One account per person.

You agree not to use GOATED to:

• post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, or infringes others' rights;
• enter write-ins, list titles, or handles that impersonate someone, contain slurs or abuse, or are designed to deceive;
• manipulate votes, consensus, or metrics through automation, bots, or fake accounts;
• scrape, overload, or attempt to break the service or its infrastructure.

We may remove content, hide lists, or suspend access — with or without notice — to enforce these rules or protect the service and its users.

You keep ownership of the lists and rankings you create. By publishing or sharing them, you grant GOATEDa non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with running and promoting the service — including generating the shareable images ("cards") that carry your list and, where applicable, your handle.

You're responsible for anything you type in, including write-ins. Don't submit content you don't have the right to share.

Artist, album, and song information is drawn from open databases including MusicBrainz, Discogs, and Wikidata/Wikipedia, and cover art from the Cover Art Archive and Wikimedia Commons, under their respective licenses. This data is provided as-is and may be incomplete or inaccurate. GOATED's own name, logo, and design are ours and may not be used without permission.

GOATEDis provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Rankings, dates, and metadata are crowd- and third-party-sourced and may be wrong. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GOATEDand its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the greatest extent the law allows.

We may update these terms as the product changes; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. You can stop using GOATED at any time, and we may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.
